SheCodes offers online hands-on coding workshops for women. Students can choose from various workshops, including Basics, a 3-week workshop covering HTML, CSS, and JavaScript introducing students to front-end development. SheCodes offers Plus, an 8-week workshop that teaches everything in Basics along with Bootstrap, Git, GitHub, hosting, APIs, and more. SheCodes Pro is a 24-week workshop where students will learn everything in Basics and Plus, along with Responsive Development and React. SheCodes Max has all of the features of Pro, with extra features to create an impressive coding portfolio, get feedback from expert developers, and a tailored career advice workshop. SheCodes’ mission is to bridge the gender gap in the tech industry.
SheCodes is open to beginners and aims to provide for those who want to enter the tech industry with the fundamental skills and knowledge needed to succeed. There are various workshop packages that students can purchase depending on their coding needs and existing skill level.
During the workshops, a SheCodes instructor will help students build projects like websites and apps for a portfolio to showcase skills to prospective employers. Instructor Matt Delac is a Full-Stack Engineer with over 10 years of experience specializing in JavaScript and Ruby and has worked with international tech companies such as Envato, Google, and Airbnb.

I'm thrilled I signed up for the SheCodes Basics workshop! I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop because of its organization, community, and feedback. I haven't played around with HTML or CSS since making MySpace skins as a teenager. This course was a great refresher to dust off those skills. And I learned a brand new skill with the introduction to Javascript. The lessons were short and straightforward so the time commitment was very reasonable while working fulltime. The challenges for each section helped you build off of each previous lesson, showing how HTML, CSS and Javascript can be used in conjunction. This was my very first introduction to coding and I believe SheCodes was the right choice. I really enjoyed the format of the SheCodes Basics program - structured with lessons and homework, but you still had the freedom to go at your own pace through out each week. Great experience
After having been interested in coding for ages, I finally decided to give it a try. This workshop was the perfect start for a beginner like me. I enjoyed the mixture of video input and practical exercises. Connecting with other coders on Slack was a big plus and homework was reviewed very swiftly!
