Rithm School

Rithm was the best decision I made. I have never learned from such an incredible instructional team. Not only were they extremely technically competent, they were extremely supportive and encouraging. We each were assigned an advisor and encouraged to talk and meet with them frequently. They gave helpful code reviews daily. I loved all of the applications and projects built throughout the program, and I was able to use the projects built during the bootcamp during my interview process. After the program, you are given a Career Services advisor who is the most hand-on person I have met. They meet with graduates weekly during the job search process and will reach out to those she has not heard from in a while. They coordinate meetups among the graduates to provide a network of support. As soon as anything happens in your job search, they are there to help you along. I am now moving to Paris to be a full-stack software engineer in Paris thanks to Rithm.

Being a fresh university graduate with a degree in psychology and basic programming skills, I was curious how much I would grow in Rithm's full-stack web development boot camp. After landing a job in the tech industry a month after graduating, especially during these times, I believe it's safe to say that Rithm allowed me to prosper.

I really appreciated the intimate class size which allowed our vastly knowledgeable instructors to give detailed feedback and mentoring. The pacing of the curriculum was perfect, and the assessments given each weekend really solidified what I learned throughout each week. The internship opportunity they give towards the end of the cohort accurately emulates an agile methodology workflow that is common in the tech industry, and due to this, I felt very prepared and comfortable in the pacing of my current job.

Rithm also has a very close and strong alumni network to help with the job hunt after graduating. Some of these alums also participate in a mentorship program every cohort to provide advice and accountability to the students. Overall, you can just tell that instructors, alums, and other staff members are really for you and want to see you succeed. They will help in any way they can, and you can feel rest assured in them.

Rithm truly puts their students' well-being and success to the forefront, and it truly shows in the way they guide students through the initial application process to the final job search (special shoutout to our Career Services Director, Sophie Leroi, for her genuine interest and effort in making the job hunt as painless as possible!!). The curriculum itself was rigorous and compact but comprehensive. It was certainly not easy to commit to the full-time schedule + weekend assignments, but Rithm does an amazing job in alleviating burnout and providing plenty of time for a life outside of the program, which not many bootcamps do!! The program places a lot of emphasis on pair programming and first-hand industry experience to build your portfolio. My instructors, Elie and Kadeem, were exceptional at breaking down complex topics and preparing us for real-world applications of those concepts. Overall, I left the program feeling largely prepared for the job market, and thanks to Sophie's help, my cohort's help, and my Rithm mentor's help, I landed a position within 3 months :) Be prepared to really put in the work once you hit the market, however -- commit to a daily schedule, figure out how to best market yourself, and apply as much as possible! Rithm was an amazing experience! I have a classical music background and a decade in the service industry. I was nervous to make a career transition into tech because I felt far removed from the industry. When I researched programs I knew I wanted a small class size and high student:teacher ratio. Rithm delivered and more. Even though it was completely remote, lectures still felt personal and engaging. I made a lot of friends through our pair programming sessions. Most of my cohort is still in regular contact and I actually got my job through a cohort-friend referral. As a queer and trans person I felt like I could show up as my whole authentic self and be seen and supported. I knew my instructors cared and were committed to seeing me thrive.

The tech stack is excellent and the curriculum is challenging but rewarding. As others mentioned, they're always evaluating and making updates so they're current with the industry. Rithm also does an excellent job teaching non-technical skills like collaboration, communicating errors and problems, and continued self-study. You graduate ready to work across the full stack.

I'm not going to sugarcoat it: the job search is rough right now. Sophie (director of career services) offers tailored guidance for what best suits you and your needs. There's not a one-size-fits-all solution to getting a job in the current climate, so having someone who can give varied recommendations and support is invaluable. I couldn't have done it alone, and I'm so grateful to Rithm's staff, alumni, and my cohort-mates for their assistance and encouragement.

If you're unsure, I highly recommend Rithm's free courses available on their website as well as their free private prep classes. You'll get a great feel for the instruction style and Rithm's values.

Rithm was a fantastic experience from start to finish! Good course content, excellent instruction, friendly instructors and TAs, with lots of individualized attention. I had been slowly working through some Udemy classes prior to that, and I do feel like given enough time I would have eventually gotten to a proficiency level to start applying to jobs. However, the decision to attend Rithm was a total rocket booster to the process, likely saving me an additional 12+ months, and ended up being a lot more fun to boot!

I went from passable HTML/CSS skills and very basic JS, to confident in my ability to code in both modern JS and  Python, build React apps and most importantly having a strong grasp on the fundamentals to continue my learning from there (while gainfully employed). I was also more confident going into the job search having learned with a cohort of folks roughly at the same level. It was very hard to gauge my actual skill level when I was teaching myself.

In addition, I now have a built-in network in the industry, and I made some wonderful friends along the way!

I was expecting the job prep side of things to be mostly fluff, but it ended up being really helpful to my job search process. I landed a full time engineering roll within 3 months of leaving Rithm and am really enjoying the career transition.

Rithm School delivered on everything it promised: small classes, personalized attention, regular 1:1 meetings, knowledgeable and passionate instructors, positive learning environment, solid coursework and a TON of job assistance support during and after graduation. I learned so much, faster and better than I would have on my own. I gained a lot of confidence in my abilities. I made great friends with peers and alumni. And I was wonderfully prepared for my job interviews and ready to ace them, despite the current difficult job market.

I had such an incredible experience at Rithm. I was initially drawn to smaller class sizes (and the opportunity to learn a second back-end language, which proved VERY useful in the job search), and it did not disappoint. It's equal parts rigorous, engaging, and dare I say fun. The instructional staff is top-notch and really take the time to make sure you understand the material. It's clear that their focus is on you as the student, not on their graduation/employment stats or anything else superfluous - they've created an incredible formula where taking care of the former leads to the latter, and I'd go back in a heart-beat.

As a graduate of Rithm School's July-October 2022 cohort, I highly recommend the program for its small class size, excellent instructors, personalized code reviews, and post-grad career services. 

The small class size fostered a collaborative and supportive learning environment, allowing me to get to know my classmates and instructors well. Instructors and TAs reviewing my code during class and for weekend assessments was particularly valuable, helping me solidify professional coding habits. We did a lot of pair programming, which was awesome for catching errors, producing better code, and improving communication skills.



The company project was another highlight, providing me with real-world experience that I could reference during interviews. After graduation, the Rithm team provided lots of support during my job search, from interview prep to offer letter reviews. Their guidance helped me improve my job search strategy, resume, and interview skills.



Overall, I am grateful for the knowledge and experience I gained during my time at Rithm School and highly recommend the program to anyone interested in pursuing a career in software engineering.

Like most people, I struggled choosing which software development bootcamp I wanted to go to. I did a lot of research on Course Report and Reddit to help decide out which school would be the best fit for me. I'm so happy that I ended up choosing Rithm! A few of my favorite things about attending Rithm were - 

1. M-F classes - Having class M-F allowed me to not experience burn out and still have a healthy work/life balance. 
2. Internship/Professional Project - The professional project at the end of the program is a big plus as it allows you to work in a larger code base, provides invaluable experience to bring to interviews, and gives you an idea of what life would be like working as a software engineer. 
3. Small class size - The smaller classes allow you to have more time and attention from instructors. The instructors/TAs take the time to teach you thoroughly, provide you excellent supplemental notes, and welcome questions. 
4. Daily code reviews - After each lecture, there is always an exercise to complete to practice what you just learned. Each exercise had stopping points where we were required to get our code reviewed by one of the instructors/TAs. I really enjoyed this reviews because they provided us thorough feedback on what we were doing right/wrong and how we could improve our code. 

Overall, I'm super happy with my decision to attend Rithm and would recommend it to anyone that is on the fence! 

I highly recommend Rithm School. While it may not be as well known as schools like Hack Reactor or App Academy, I have absolutely no doubt that I made the right decision with Rithm. 
The curriculum is second to none. You learn the latest technologies and the curriculum is changing all the time in order to make sure you’re learning the latest and greatest. 
All of the teachers are incredible. My lead instructor was Joel, and he is one of the best educators I’ve ever had the privilege to learn from. It genuinely seems like he knows or has connections to every big name in tech today. Every staff member felt dedicated to seeing me succeed and always took the time to make sure every question I had was fully answered. 
I also felt like the small class size helped not only helped with one on one instructor time, but also with building meaningful relationships with all of my classmates. We still talk on a weekly basis even two months out from class, and I expect we’ll continue to stay in contact and help each other through our careers. 
The alumni network is fantastic too. Plenty of talented people front all types of companies were going out of their way to help me navigate the job application and interviewing process. Once I’m settled in my new role (landed a job 6 weeks from graduating) I look forward to returning the favor to new Rithm grads. 
I’m so grateful for all of the support and quality education I’ve received via Rithm School and I can’t imagine making the big career change that I did without them. 

I am so glad that I made the choice to attend Rithm School. I found an awesome job within 2 months of graduation, and I think this is only because Rithm has prepared me really well for the job search. There are several things that I really enjoyed at Rithm:
1. The class size is much smaller than other bootcamps, for my cohort we only had 12 people and each one of us was getting so much attention from our instructors; 
2. The curriculum is really well designed, we learned javascript and python and worked with a bunch of different frameworks such as React, Express and Flask, which are all popular frameworks in the tech world now and are in high demand for software engineer jobs; 
3. For everything we learned, there are exercise designed for each section to make sure that we have enough practice on the new knowledge, every weekend, we would also get a comprehensive assessment that captures all the important things we went through during the week; 
4. We did pair programming almost every single day, which taught us how to work with different people as an engineer, the communication skills we learned from pair programming has really helped with my interviews; 
5. The company project differentiates Rithm from a lot of other bootcamps, we got to work on an in-production code base for a startup, during which we worked on teams with their project leads, practiced professional work flows, and got to experience what it was like to work in a real tech company;
6. Rithm is a super supportive family and everyone wants us to succeed. Each one of us has a designated advisor, a career coach, all of our instructors and TAs are always available as well, we could ask them anything, even after we graduated they still continue to support us;
7. The alumni network is super strong, I have got quite a few referrals from Rithm alums and one of them turned out to be my current job! 
All in all, this is truly one of the best decisions I have made in my life. It was intense for sure, but it was also a lot of fun! I met a lot of friends, and I have successfully transitioned to be a software engineer. If you are thinking about attending a software bootcamp, I would highly recommend Rithm School!
