22 weeks and $2000 you can't not afford to do this.
I looked at some boot camps that wanted $15k and 16 weeks of your time 40 hours a week in their city. Nucamp offered me an opportunity to do classes on my own time in my own place and be able to graduate with no debt. I was really impressed with the amount of knowledge they crammed into every single week. The instructors I had were all accessible. Even the admin are on the Slack channel and help out students. Even if you feel like you can't possibly get a good background in web deve...I looked at some boot camps that wanted $15k and 16 weeks of your time 40 hours a week in their city. Nucamp offered me an opportunity to do classes on my own time in my own place and be able to graduate with no debt. I was really impressed with the amount of knowledge they crammed into every single week. The instructors I had were all accessible. Even the admin are on the Slack channel and help out students. Even if you feel like you can't possibly get a good background in web development with just one day a week in class, give the Fundamentals class a try. You might be surprised at how much you can manage to learn the other 6 days if you are determined and self-reliant. It's definitely a "you get out what you put in" situation. And it's definitely an accelerated learning experience. You have to keep up or else. Thankfully, repeating or rescheduling a class is a nominal fee under $100. A good option, but not for everyone
A software bootcamp isn't for everyone, but Nucamp is among the best for a number of reasons.
1. It's affordable, and easy for working adults as long as you make sure you have the time to study and do the lessons.
2. The instructors are knowledgeable and helpful when you hit the inevitable roadblocks and frustrations. Many of the instructors were once students like yourself, so they've been there.

It is more structured than learning on your own, but less so than full time bootcamps which are also more expensive. You can think of this one as a sort of hybrid between the two. That means you need to be somewhat self-motivated and are able to remove any distractions that keep you from devoting the roughly 2-3 hours per day for study and project work.

I decided to enroll into Nucamp because I wanted to make a career change. I did some other coding class just to see what it was like, and I really enjoyed it, to my surprise. However, the course I took lacked the structure I needed, and I wanted to enroll in an actual class. I saw good reviews for Nucamp online, and for the price, I might as well check it out. I took the Web Dev Fundamentals course, and I am greatly surprised at the amount of information we learned in those 4 short weeks...I decided to enroll into Nucamp because I wanted to make a career change. I chose Nucamp for the schedule, cost, and content of their programs. You are able to work with your work schedule during the week to accomplish the weekly content. Your only mandatory obligation is a Saturday Workshop where you work an assignment with your class mates and get a review of the weekly content with your instructor. Your instructor is available to message and get feedback whenever you may need it. They also introduce you to their slack channel where you can get help, ask qu...I chose Nucamp for the schedule, cost, and content of their programs. I found a job before finishing bootcamp!
I choose Nucamp because I was ready to take my hobby-level skills and apply them to making a career change. But as a full time employee with a family to care for, most the bootcamps had schedules that were impossible - not to mention price tags that were prohibitive for my family's budget. I found Nucamp and decided to jump in. I think it turned out to be the perfet program for me. All but 1 of my instructors were really great and I actually was hired as a React Native developer a full 3...I choose Nucamp because I was ready to take my hobby-level skills and apply them to making a career change. I'm glad I've gone with Nucamp so far
I've completed only one part of the 4-part Full-Stack web dev program: Bootstrap. I chose Nucamp because the price was right, the time commitment could be balanced with my work commitments, and it was conveniently located. During the Bootstrap program, we were introduced to many features of Bootstrap and got a little practice implementing them in structured assignments, then a project we could put as much time and practice into as we wished. I put more time and energy into the project...I've completed only one part of the 4-part Full-Stack web dev program: Bootstrap. I chose Nucamp because the price was right, the time commitment could be balanced with my work commitments, and it was conveniently located. During the Bootstrap program, we were introduced to many features of Bootstrap and got a little practice implementing them in structured assignments, then a project we could put as much time and practice into as we wished. I put more time and energy into the project than I typically did in the homework, as that's where I felt I was learning the most and practicing my own creativity. I am really pleased with the project I made so far and I think it will be valuable in my portfolio. Brillient experience
It was great experiece to learn python with Ryan Lingo. He is perfect instructor. I cannot expect more. Details he explains were great. And platform usage is great. We use Discord channel, slack and additional meetup session live platform for weekly workshop. I was not a beginner, but fairly new to python, so beginning from scratch was great and the personal fortpolio project was also great. Ryan expresses the importance of fortpolio which I 100 percent agree, and he introduce some detai...It was great experiece to learn python with Ryan Lingo. He is perfect instructor. I am currently in a react-native portion of the full stack course. The whole course revolved around building the same website first using bootstrap, then using react and then react-native. The course videos are sub-par and you will end up learning from googling a lot. The video only talks about the nucamp website you are building so if you want to build something on your own, you will feel lost. The in-person instructors care a lot and really want you to learn, however you are slammed with so much information that it will be hard for the instructor to catch up. I am not done with the course yet, I think the course is a good introduction but it is not good enough to get a job unless you have programmed before. Great experience, worth it!
I had a pleasant learning and overall experience with Nucamp! Nucamp is affordable but not cheap. The resources provided were given much thought and care and the instructors were very helpful. I wanted to test out Nucamp bootcamp by signing up with the 4-week Fundamentals first before deciding to start the other longer bootcamps they are offering. Web Dev Fundamentals Review
This review is for the Web Dev Fundamentals course. I chose Nucamp due to the relatively inexpensive tuition and flexibility because I am taking the course while working full time. I have no regrets about my decision and I will be starting the full-stack course in 2 weeks. Nucamp delivers on what they sell, I gained a fundamental knowledge of html, css, and javascript that has help prepared me for the full-stack course.

My instructor Olaf far exceeded my expectations, which was awesome. If the content seems overwhelming at first, don't panic. It's a lot of information to take in when you're learning something new. You're going to learn by repetition and doing it on your own. They warn you to be prepared to put in extra time for the javascript section (weeks 3 and 4), and I say please heed this advice, as this is when the course got a bit trickier for me. Google is your friend. It's always helpful to read an explanation about a concept from a different perspective. Don't be afraid to reach out for help! Everyone is here to learn, and asking questions helps facilitate that.
Be mindful that this is a part-time bootcamp. It's going to take you going above and beyond the bootcamps requirements to be competent enough to eventually gain that first programming gig.
Overall, the course gave me what I needed, ramped up my excitement about the world of programming, and I'm ready to continue that momentum into the full-stack.
