    Highly Recommend

My experience at Launch was well worth the time commitment and investment. My husband who is a software developer was impressed by how much I learned in a short period of time. Instructors and staff are friendly, engaging, and always willing to help students. In addition, I think being able to learn in person is important for collaboration and engagement.

Be aware that for all bootcamp grads, job searching can be a long process. Launch provides post grad resources and support to ...

This will pay for itself in three months

I, like you, was unhappy with my career and looking to make a large-scale change.  I chose software/web development because of the salary floor being higher than I was currently earning by nearly half, and the remote work/15-foot commute across the hallway was too good to pass up on.

Launch starts nice and slow with 8 weeks at home, part time, learning the basics with decent access to instructors to ask questions, as well as full-exercise live coding sessions.  In several cases yo...

The Best Decision I've Ever Made

Before the COVID-19 pandemic I was an Improv Comedian. I had been looking to develop  another career at some point, but after all the theaters shut down I was left on unemployment without a clear direction. Launch Academy was recommended to me by a friend from my theater and it ended up being the best decision I've ever made.

Launch took me from working nights, to a brand new career in the technology industry. It has a challenging but fair curriculum. It also does an excellent jo...

    Launch Academy

I was skeptical about going to a bootcamp, but I had a good experience with Launch. They just switched to also teaching a full stack in Node.js which was good to learn. The environment of learning remotely worked really well for me, and learning in an Agile environment was very helpful as well. Post grad can be really difficult because it seems like you are spinning your wheels, but after much despair on my part, it only took me 2 months to find a great job! What ended up being really he...

    Apprentice Full Stack Web Developer

My thoughts about my time at Launch Academy. I thought the experience was great overall. This course was taken during the pandemic so it was mostly done online. There was an option to go in the classroom but it was the middle of winter and leaving the house didn't seem as appealing. All of the instructors were great. They did a good job of explaining the concepts and helping you if you needed it. You will not be spoon-fed information. There is a level of expectation for you to put in som...

Couldn't recommend this place enough for anyone looking to get into the world of coding/tech. All the teachers are wonderful people that are attentive and thorough with explaining crucial concepts of coding, and they're always there if you need things explained more, or just need some advice on something you're working on! I was also lucky to have a cohort filled with other awesome and inspiring students that were constantly lifting each other up. Now that it's over I feel like I am equi...

    Software Engineer

I couldn't recommend Launch Academy enough! This program really can get you where you want to go if you put in the work, and the team there are so compassionate, caring, and genuinely invested in your success. It is a difficult program, but well worth the investment. They have great connections, an amazing list of hiring partners, a robust alumni network, and will teach you both the hard and the soft skills of being a software engineer. I went in with really no technical background, and ...

I'd go again in a heartbeat

Launch Academy is absolutely fantastic! I would absolutely recommend this program to anyone, but you just have to be ready for it. When they say it will take you 60-80 hours a week they mean it. It's a kiln where they melt you down and reforge your mind into something better. Not only do I know how to code now, but I also know how to think better. I know how to ask better questions. I know how to communicate better. I am overall a better person for attending this program. It was absolute...

    Fantastic experience

I went in to Launch Academy a little hesitant. I didn't think a short 18 weeks would give me enough time to learn what I needed to land a web developer role. Turns out I was pretty wrong.

The first few months of ignition totally helped me get over those fears. I learned at a very rapid pace, and I quickly understood that Launch Academy's style of teaching is very similar to how an actual developer job would be. I learned the basics of ruby, javascript, HTML, CSS, and principles ...

    Wonderful Experience

I attended Launch Academy in the fall of 2019 and have nothing but good things to say. My cohort learned Ruby on Rails and React.js over a period of 18 weeks, with the first 8 being part time off campus and the final 10 being full time on campus. The mentors/teachers at Launch were all very dedicated to my success and were extremely capable at communicating complex ideas in an understandable manner.

Additionally, Launch Academy has two full time staff members who run their Caree...

Great Place to Begin a Career in Web Development!

I had a great experience at Launch Academy and certainly learned a lot! The curriculum is consistently updated to keep up with version updates and industry popularity. The program is impeccably well run and I learned multiple new things every single day. The program included a 2-week group project and a 2-week individual project.

I chose to apply to Launch Academy for the following reasons and they ring true:

Aviod - Worse than Self Teaching

Maybe times of changed, but 5 years out I can honestly say LA is a waste of time. After graduating I thought it was a scam, designed to just suck money out of people. The cost is massive and theyre excited to sign anyone up. Job support after was laughable. The career fair is there only get you past the point where they can drain your wallet, without a care in where you land. Most of the people in my cohort ended up in horrible body shop.

    The instructors are a...
