I am an Electrical engineer by degree who needed to break out of the career choice and find a new field.  When looking into software programs, I reviewed a dozen before choosing devCodeCamp.  I found their curriculum to be challenging, intense, and fun!  I know what I want to do with my life at this point and that is due to the devCodeCamp program. I love coding and the 16-week program was thorough with instruction that was exceptional. The teachers were there for every step and they made sure you did your due diligence through each section of learning. Honestly, I now miss going to class! Now I'm working with the Carrer Services group at dCC and it's been very helpful and I have hopes of finding a software position soon.

 Throughout my journey at devCodeCamp I could not have been happier with the choice I made in bootcamps. The instructors treat you like family they cheer you on constantly, give you confidence when you need it and help you in  accomplishing your projects. The Career Services helps you by getting down to it!  they help you in getting everything ready to do and providing you great feedback before you go out into the wild searching for jobs! Overall This was a great  experience and I would do it again in a heart beat.

I am so happy I found this course. It offered everything I needed and more for a full-time working step-parent. When I began this course, I had no idea what platforms were out there or what a "Boolean" or " For Loop" even was. Now, as a recent graduate, I've created so many projects implementing those same operations without a second thought! I've gained new skills that will not only help me with my new career in coding but with life! I've learned how to use up to intermediate level Python, AWS, Django, Web Services, CSS, HTML, React js, JavaScript, and much more! The only thing I wish is that I could have attended this YEARS ago! I thank them so much for being patient, understanding, and providing great leadership throughout the complete journey of my new career.

I recently completed the devCodeCamp 24-week full-stack software developer Bootcamp, and I'm thrilled with the experience. The bootcamp provided a comprehensive curriculum that equipped me with the necessary skills to embark on a career in software development.

One of the standout aspects of devCodeCamp was the quality of the instructors. They were experienced professionals who were passionate about teaching and mentoring students. Hello everyone! As a recent graduate of devCodeCamp, I want to share my amazing journey of growth and learning. Coming from Omaha, NE, I was always captivated by technology's impact on our world. To enhance my skills and pursue a career in web development, I joined devCodeCamp's Full Stack Web Development Certificate program.

devCodeCamp provided a well-structured and comprehensive curriculum that kept up with industry trends. From the start, hands-on projects immersed me in real-world scenarios, allowing me to apply my knowledge practically. The instructors were not only highly knowledgeable but also approachable and supportive.

During the program, I gained proficiency in Python, Django, React.js, and other essential tools. Each project presented unique coding challenges that nurtured my creativity and problem-solving abilities. The program also equipped me with valuable skills in version control, API testing, and database management.

devCodeCamp's career services were invaluable in our transition to professionals. They offered resume and interview preparation, job search strategies, and networking opportunities. The team's guidance and industry connections helped me secure interviews and job offers. Even after graduation, they continue to support my career development.

The program also emphasized project management using Jira and deployment on AWS Amplify and Elastic Beanstalk. These experiences provided me with essential skills for agile development and deployment. My experience at devCodeCamp has fueled my passion for software development. The hands-on approach and real-world projects have sharpened my skills and prepared me for the industry. I am excited to embrace new challenges, contribute to innovative projects, and continue my growth in this dynamic field.

I started at devCodeCamp during the last few months of my sixth year teaching public school music--May of 2022. The teaching profession had changed pretty dramatically with the outbreak of covid, and as result, I began looking for better ways to provide for my wife and two children. When I started the bootcamp I was teaching, coordinating concerts, making lesson plans and carving out as much time as possible for Python and JavaScript. After a lot of research and soul searching, I made the decision to go with devCodeCamp for a few reasons: 1) They had the most flexible timeline for completion out of all the camps I looked at. 2) Their price was quite reasonable, relative to other camps I had looked at.3) They had a thorough and rigorous curriculum--including a devOps unit to help get projects deployed--many other camps didn’t offer devOps. 4) They had great reviews and great employment outcomes.
As a graduate now looking back, I genuinely feel devCodeCamp was the right place for me. The content was challenging, rigorous and overwhelming at times, but every week I would get on a call with my instructors and they would help me untie the knots I inadvertently put in my code and get me back on the right track. I even received support on several occasions on weekends even though instructors had no obligation to help me till Monday. They were/are invested in their students. 
I was also extremely grateful for the flexible timeline that allowed me to continue to provide for my family and to learn at a pace that worked best for me. Sometimes I finished the unit and the assignments but felt that my grasp of the content was still somewhat nebulous so I would spend another week or so on that content cleaning up the code or doing the bonus project to make sure I really understood the content and was actually ready to move on to the next set of concepts. This flexibility combined with my instructors willingness to meet me where I was made a huge difference for me. 
In addition, building my capstone--a meal planning grocery list app--was probably the most fulfilling and challenging part of the experience. The process of sending a proposal, writing user stories, using a kanban workflow, and receiving weekly accountability really helped to set me up for success. I came away from the experience excited to build more applications and add more functionality to the one I had just built. My wife and I actually use my app for our grocery bi-weekly shopping.    The career services unit has likewise been excellent. I landed a job as a QA early on in the bootcamp by networking, but I am still working toward landing a coding job and there are numerous things I wouldn’t have known about resumes, cover letters or LinkedIn if not for the well made content they provided. 
The few cons I can think of with devCodeCamp are that some of the video lectures are long and somewhat abstract until after you have done the project. You may want to either watch them after completing the assignments or review them after completing the projects so the information has more meaning. There may also be times where your instructor won’t know how to solve a problem or says not to worry about an error message because the overall application still works. My advice with that is to take such times as a challenge to dig deeper and learn something new about the software that even your instructor doesn’t know.  
Changing careers and learning to code is not for the faint of heart, but if you are sure you like coding, feel ready to be humbled, and are genuinely committed, devCodeCamp is a great place to do it. 

I recently graduated from dCCs Full Stack Flex program. It was a time in my life that coincided with a great deal of change and struggle, which equated well to the challenge of swapping careers from music and audio to development. Truth be told, I almost did not finish on two specific occasions due to what was going on and the struggle to understand the material because of my own limitations. Thankfully, the instructors are very good about checking in and supporting the students. There were many adjustments to the resources and my main one on one instructor was particularly good about helping in our sessions find the best ways for me to catch up and understand what I needed to do. Likewise as the projects became more complex, the rest of the instructors offered a great deal of help "filling in the blanks" so I could finish and succeed in the camp. I was thankful for the empathy and effort put forth, and it led to a great deal of enjoyment with this new field. I am hopeful looking ahead to a job in this industry because of my experience at dCC. Definitely weigh if coding and coding bootcamps are the right leap for you to take, but if you choose to take it, dCC is the place to be.

I recently completed the Flex program at devCodeCamp, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. The instructors were knowledgeable, supportive, and always willing to answer questions. The curriculum was comprehensive and hands-on, giving me the opportunity to learn by doing, and the projects I worked on were challenging and rewarding.


One of the things I appreciated the most was the emphasis on real-world skills and problem-solving, which I found incredibly valuable in preparing me for the workforce. I also appreciated the flexibility of the program, which allowed me to work at my own pace and balance my studies with my other responsibilities.


Overall, I highly recommend devCodeCamp to anyone looking to gain practical skills in software development. I feel confident and well-prepared to tackle the challenges of the tech industry, and I am excited to see where this new career path takes me. Thank you, devCodeCamp!

I chose devCodeCamp because they were one of the few bootcamps that I could fit into my work schedule as a piano teacher, and the staff immediately made a great impression. The curriculum is set up well, but I think it might be a little lacking compared to other software development bootcamps, because we only focused on one specific tech stack. That being said, after being walked through the process of building and deploying a full stack application, I feel comfortable trying to build with other tech stacks on my own. I don't think this boot camp makes you job ready, but it puts you on track to keep learning independently until you are ready. I would recommend devCodeCamp if you need to fit learning into your work schedule, but also want to have a personal relationship with instructors and classmates.
