Data Science Dojo offers online and in-person data science bootcamps in Redmond, Washington. Data Science Dojo believes that anyone can learn data science, and provides comprehensive, hands-on training that helps students jump into practical data science, including R programming, AWS, and Azure tools. The in-person course can be completed in five days, and the online course can be completed within 14 weeks. Bootcamp students are trained in machine learning concepts, and deploy predictive models as a service, complete an IoT (Internet of Things) project, and enter a Kaggle competition. The curriculum is taught by experienced data scientists covering both data science and data engineering. All students participate in an in-class Kaggle competition against their peers.
Classes are open to all levels of expertise, though having knowledge of at least one programming/scripting language or computing environment is recommended. The program is specifically designed for working professionals who want to add data science skills to their current positions. No application is required in order to attend.
Having trained over 5,000 professionals from more than 1,500 companies, Data Science Dojo has significant connections and partnerships with companies, and all students receive access to this network. Data Science Dojo was endorsed by CITREP+, a government program in Singapore, and has a joint certificate program with the University of Mexico Continuing Education program.
Such a great bootcamp! I really learned a lot of useful techniques that I can definitely apply in my current role. Raja and Phuc did an awesome job clearly communicating complex topics, providing practical insights, and making sure that each of us can follow through all the courses. Definitely recommended!
I just completed the Chicago bootcamp and I can say that the Data Science Dojo team exceeded my expectations. I had some R coding experience (but no formal education) and work in the derivatives industry, using statistics and regressions pretty regularly, so I had some strengths in a few areas, but my skills and stats theory were very very rusty. I did a great deal of homework on competitors and settled on Raja's team, in no small part due to the location as I am a Chicago local, but als...

I expected to learn a great deal, but I also assumed I would be swimming in confusion more often than not. I had, after all, spent more than a semester in grad school trying to find a rhythm while also trying a variety of online learning supplements. There is so much out there, the landscape changes quickly, and many schools are willing to charge for Data Science courses because the subject is hot, but they don't produce any of the materials, and therefore everything is choppy and incoherent. This confusion was not the case in Bootcamp, as the lessons were clear, logical, and consistent. The lessons were also an excellent mix of intuitive and informational instruction, demonstration, hands on walk through of each and every step, intellectual challenge, and the application of working toward and completing kaggle project. The intellectual challenge, by the way, can be scaled to meet anyone's learning needs, in my opinion, as this team is very well educated and well heeled in the space...and definitely effective educators as well.
I could go on for a while, but I would ultimately need to address every point in the curriculum because everything was worthy of mention. Suffice to say that I am now comfortable scraping websites, parsing twitter feeds, building machine learning models in R and Azure ML, acquiring and utilizing Hadoop clusters, setting up an eventhub...and even better, I have a sizable toolkit to do build upon going forward. I still need to practice to get better, but I have everything I need to take my career and my understanding of the world to another level.
Don't waste your time anywhere else. The Dojo will exceed your expectations as well.
I just finished my Paris Data Science Dojo Bootcamp and I found it fascinating, loved the content, the interaction, the material, the structure, the organization and the motivation presented by Raja and David. Our participation is very important for them, they will explain everything in a simple way and give you real life examples.

Yes, they will push you during these 5 days, so be ready for hard working hours and little sleep. But for me, that was what kept me motivated during all the bootcamp.
This was my initiation in Data Science, got provided with a lot of material and I am more motivated than ever to continue my journey.
It was an awesome experience to accumulate a breadth of knowledge and resource materials to start my journey on the world of Data Science and Engineering. It SAVED me a ton of research time and brought me important insights. Thank you!
Excellent course design, studying material and instructors! And a good balance between theory and practice. It is quite impressive what gets to be covered in a week.
I attended Raja Iqbal's Data Science Dojo bootcamp in Washington DC last week. Even though 10 hours a fay can get very intense, Raja did a great job keeping the full group engaged and focused. The content of the course revolves a lot around the theory around data science and its applications. Before taking the course one has to complete serveral preliminary modules that teach some of the tools used during the class. Raja and his team were great. The food was very high quality and the bootcamp is a great opportunity to network with driven professionals.

The instructors gave us a lot of learning resources(you maybe surprise!!) It is one of my favorite thing of the bootcamp. Learning never ends up!

Awesome course! This is most practical training in data science currently available that also link practice to concepts and the math behind them in a very logical way. I recommend this training to anybody want to advance data science learning in a very short duration.
The bootcamp was led by the CEO himself, who attacks the topic from very practical angles.
In comparison with Coursera, DataCamp or other in-person experiences I’ve had so far on programming/data science, I definitely felt like Raja managed to, not just select, but engage us in the most important concepts on both Data Science and Data Engineering (trust me, I’ve spent hours googling about these topics and speaking to a variety of ‘techies’, but just couldn’t get that ‘full pict...

The course is very well structured, laying out ground concepts first for every topic and then useful practicum. The instructors are adamant that the thinking process is the most crucial element and I fully agree. Healthy debate is encouraged and the instructors are able to tie it all together by sharing practical experiences they've had. If you've ever been taught by practising adjunct professors in school, versus those who have been in academia all their life, you'll know the difference - especially when you only have 5 days to spare to immerse yourself in a new topic.
I would strongly recommend going for DSDojo's bootcamp if you can spare the full 5 days if you're-
1)An analyst already working with data analysis and want to do more
2)Manager who wants to cut thru' the buzzwords and know what's relevant for your business today
3)Data science enthusiast who's implemented some models before but know that you need your work to be more polished
I would also recommend that you don't go in 'cold'. You should finish the pre-course videos and exercises in order to extract the most of the 5-days. Don't be lazy!
As a manager with a technical background in engineering, but who has spent the last decade managing programs, budgets and people, this course was my first venture back into a more technical direction. The course exceeded my expectations on many levels -- in how practical and application-oriented mathematical concepts were taught, to how the ideas are applicatble not just in the private sector, but also in the not-for-profit sectors.
The instructor is definitely a teacher at heart...

The instructor is definitely a teacher at heart and has an uncanny ability to convert the abstract into the practical, with exercises to apply concepts interspersed strategically throughout the course.
If you have a knack for numbers and enjoyed math -- even if only years ago -- don't be intimidated by this course. Attend it and rediscover your love for the magic of numbers and data -- particularly big ones.
The 5 days transform you into a data scientist. Great curriculum as in the selection of topics, progression in topics, mix of practice vs lecture, mix of complexity vs practical use and finally the kaggle competition. Raja was a great trainer and very affable. I enjoyed learning the math behind decision trees, random forest, and linear regression. I am now confident to make the switch to Data Science!

Besides an intense week of training, the course instructors are well prepared and experienced in the field. They coach their students in the
applying the techniques and are excited about data science. They truly want the participants to understand the concepts presented and
be successful in applying them for the class, and their current field. This course is for anyone wanting to learn the tools of ML for use in
processing data. Well worth the investment !
