Coding Bootcamp Praha is a full-time, 12-week, full-stack web development bootcamp in Prague, Czech Republic. The syllabus features HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, PHP, Bootstrap, Laravel, and MySQL. Throughout the bootcamp, students learn to cooperate in teams using Git and create 7 main projects, and a number of challenges and exercises. Coding Bootcamp Praha is international with 60% European and international students and it is taught fully in English.
To apply, candidates should fill out the online application form. A member of the Coding Bootcamp Praha team will then reach out to schedule an interview to discuss a candidate's experience and expectations. Every admitted student is invited to the online learning environment where they get access to pre-bootcamp study materials.
The bootcamp provides intense career support to help students find jobs in the industry through individual and group sessions starting from week 1. Coding Bootcamp Praha offers a job guarantee, and most graduates who are awarded a Certificate of Completion are employed within 2 months after graduation. Some Coding Bootcamp Praha alumni also develop MVPs of their startup projects during the bootcamp. The highlight event of the bootcamp is Demo Day, where students showcase their Final Project, a result of six-weeks of intense team cooperation. Jumping into that coding bootcamp really was a game-changer for me on my way to change a career. The course stuff was packed with everything from programming basics to the trickier stuff, making sure we got a good grip on things. The projects we had to tackle were tough, not gonna lie, but in a good way. They really made you feel like you were getting your hands dirty with the kind of work you'd do in the real world, which was pretty cool.Jumping into that coding bootcamp really was a game-changer for me on my way to change a career. Succeeding at the second attempt
I recently attended Coding Bootcamp Praha, and despite some unexpected challenges that arose during my first attempt, I am pleased to say that my overall experience was exceptional. Unfortunately, after two weeks in the program, I was struck with a serious illness that required me to quit the bootcamp. It was a difficult decision to make, as I was really enjoying my time at the bootcamp. However, my health had to take precedence. Excellent guidance throughout the course
I enjoyed my bootcamp experience and it was a fantastic one. The syllabus was well-structured and covered a wide range of topics that gave me a solid foundation in coding. I particularly appreciated the focus on Javascript and PHP, as they are both incredibly versatile languages that are widely used in the industry.

One thing that stood out to me was their willingness to go above and beyond to help us understand complex concepts. For example, during one of the sessions, we were learning about OOP, and I was struggling to wrap my head around it. The instructor noticed my confusion and offered to stay after class to go over it with me one-on-one. He patiently walked me through the steps, and I finally understood how OOP worked (or at least the basic idea of it :) ). I was really grateful for this.

The coding bootcamp in Prague teaches has a very broad curriculum. You learn some things that you wouldn't encounter on your own. However, squeezing a whole year of computer science in three months is just unrealistic for people who don't have experience with programming from before. The only people who could really keep up with the super fast pace of the course were the ones who were able to program a small app by themselves from before.

I went through the course last year and was wondering what the hell is happening for half of the time. Your brain is flooded with so much information that is, I repeat, UNREALISTIC to learn in three months only. You end up with just the material to learn after you're finished and you're probably too tired to go through again. Then they tell you they help you get a job. What they do is hook you up with a few employers. The employers decide whether they hire you or not. So far, a single person out of 20 was hired by a company they were collaborating with. We understand that our curriculum covers a lot of material in a short amount of time. Our goal is to provide our students with a comprehensive education in software development. However, we also understand that not everyone comes into the program with the same level of experience or background knowledge. To address this, we provide access to pre-bootcamp study materials, which are compulsory to finalise before the program. We also have implemented various support systems, including supplementary tutoring and mentorship, to ensure that all students have the opportunity to succeed.
We are sorry if you felt overwhelmed during the program. We understand that learning new concepts can be challenging and stressful, especially in a fast-paced environment. We encourage students to ask questions, seek help, and take breaks when needed to avoid burnout.
Regarding job placement, please note that Coding Bootcamp Praha provides a job guarantee to its students who successfully complete the program, and our career assistance is provided also after graduation.

Watch out! Poor organization and support
I registered for this course 10 days before it began and received a registration confirmation in an email titled "We saved your seat".
There was also a payment link to a bank account. I clicked on the link to the course and there were no details in the course in the link. I thought it was weird, but wasn't too worried. I checked back a few days later and still nothing, so I emailed Kristy and paid for the course. I then received an email back saying that the course was full. I replied, it's not a problem I'm already registered and would like to know the course details.
She then replied that my registration was cancelled and they had overbooked the course! This was particularly unfortunate as I was starting it for and upcoming position. I asked for them to call me. I got a call from Jaro and he told me that it was their mistake and that they could refund me or have me do a different online course.
They took no action to fix he mistake that they admitted was theirs. They only told me I could get my money back or take another course. Both of which were options everyone who hadn't gotten screwed by their poor organization and planning had. Review of online study experience
Due to family reasons, I took the full programme online, thus my experience might differ a little from those who studied in person. I certainly might have missed out on getting to know my classmates better but I’m more of an introverted person anyways, thus studying online would have been my preferred choice even if I did not have small kids at home and did not live 600 km away from Prague :) Here’s what I have found out about studying online:

I certainly might have missed out on getting to know my classmates better but I’m more of an introverted person anyways, thus studying online would have been my preferred choice even if I did not have small kids at home and did not live 600 km away from Prague :) Here’s what I have found out about studying online:
NEUTRAL:-gaining new knowledge is the same, you hear the same instructions, get access to the same materials etc-you cooperate with both online and in-person students and you are encouraged to do so-the mentors can help you equally no matter where you are
PROS:-having more / bigger monitors at your disposal -studying online means you save time on commuting, so you have more time to study-suits everyone who prefers spending more time alone rather than in a group of people-easier to organise your day if you have family / other responsibilities
CONS:-but you also have many more distractions (your close ones, household chores, TV etc)-it’s not always easy to feel motivated -asking questions means more proactivity from you-you have to get fast at things like sharing screen, muting, unmuting etc, or else you waste a lot of time
Regarding the programme itself, I have learnt much more than I expected. My goal was not to apply for a job right away because I prefer to spend a couple more months both studying & having a little more flexibility for my family. From that perspective, my experience is not very usual as most of the other students were interviewing for jobs as soon as possible. Learning to code is fun!
I enjoyed working with the mentors each day and seeing how much I was able to learn in such as short period of time. Pros:- Great mentors. This was sth I was most afraid of because I remember from school that I hated / loved the same subject depending on who was teaching it. So I was happy to be taught by great guys (and girls) who not only knew their stuff but very engaging and friendly.- Study materials. A lot of materials to practice during the classroom hours but also outside of them. This really helped me because I learn better when I...Pros:- Great mentors. Cons:- It's fast! 3 months goes by really quickly, so it's good to be ready for it and do as much prep as you can. - Web development can sometimes be sooo confusing! No matter which bootcamp u will choose, it is very important spend as much as possible time on prebootcamp studies, which for example was provided by Coding Bootcamp Praha. Especially deep dive on programming languages, choose at list one with beginner level, because as much as you are prepared as much you will gain from bootcamp. Prebootcamp studies are offered with strong reason to help you go through the new way much easier and as I mentioned above gain maximum from the program.Don't be shy to ask the questions - you should go through this pain :) and during the program look through the topics in advance.
