    Honest review by ex-student

This is a review of Code Nation in Manchester, UK

As an ex-Code Nation student I am speaking to anyone reading this who is considering going here...... please re-think your decision !  Having attended their 12 week Master Coding course this brief review is based upon my experience.

Actually having read the reviews here I can totally agree with them, could have written them myself though I didn't.  if only I had read some of these before I attended I could have saved myself ...

Don't Bother, Save You Time And Money

On the surface, this school seems like a terrific idea. They utilise the government apprenticeship funds to help students train and get hired. You can start in their 3 weeks develop course, get hired with a company in Code Nation apprenticeship events. Attend their 12 weeks Boot Camp and then finish off  your apprenticeship with the company that hired you for the next 12 months.

Then that's it. They only train you enough to get your feet through the door. The company will oversee ...

    A TOTAL SCAMM AVOID!!!

All their postitve reviews are not true! They promised that everyone will become a fully stacked developer with a great career prospect but the hand cherry pick certain people to get in with a company if you were lucky. The whole system and course was a complete utter joke, the teaching was really awful cause the staff didn't know what they were teaching even when paying £6000 and hearing the course lectures about them take a gamble paying £6000...

Hey, thanks for your feedback about your experience on the course.

Our team of instructors have been hand chosen based on their previous experience as a teacher, or for their technical expertise - we think they're awesome and we're sorry you felt like you didn't get 100% from them.

Our course covers front and back end software development, which means you will be equipped to become a full stack developer come graduation. We're really sorry if you feel like that wasn't the case.

Sometimes additional learning materials are super helpful to strengthen your knowledge, but our team are always on hand to support students and assist with their learning. There's also loads of great resources that are free (like Grasshopper, Free Code Camp, or even Youtube), so we'd never suggest you'd incur additional costs on top of paying for our course.

Regarding the opportunities our graduates get, we work with a huge network of employers to find the right role for each student. For some, that's a direct hire in to a business, and for others it's an apprenticeship scheme with further training and support from us at Code Nation. We present each of our students with as many opportunities as we feel appropriate for the individual, and would never make decisions on behalf of our students when it comes to their new career. Also, graduate's salaries range from 18k - 23k on average, whether that's for an apprenticeship or direct hire.

Feedback is really important to us - it helps us improve and adapt what we do and ensure students get the best possible experience, so thank you for taking the time to post this review about our course.

    SCAM

Absolute scam!! They promise you'll be a full stack developer after 3 months but instead you'll be an apprentice on 17k a year! From my course of 20 people only 1 person was directly hired into a company, the rest were forced down the route of an apprenticeship if they were lucky. The teaching was so bad that even after paying the £6,000 fee people were still paying for courses on Udemy to teach themselves. If you are considering paying the £6,000 and going to Code Nation, go to Nort...
