    Amazing Program

My instructor, Katherine, was amazing. She is incredibly kind and helps with literally everything. The TAs, DJ and Matt were also the coolest. All the instructors were so willing to help and always made themselves available for anything that we needed. This program is truly student-focused. The instructors are perfect examples of that.
It was very challenging, of course, but the experience is very rewarding. I am confident that this is the best decision I've ever made.

    Candid Foundation Building

Out of the myriad bootcamps currently out there, many of which advertise themselves through implausible guarantees, Actualize stands out by being upfront about the reality of the market, and the bootcamp format itself; there are no guarantees, and it's impossible to curate any curriculum, within a 12-week constraint, that is a universal golden bullet for the job hunt ahead.

Instead, Actualize abandons the dogma and focuses and foundation building instead - to learn how to learn, ...

Not only does it provide great instructors but the staff genuinely cares

I came across Actualize as I was making a career change from sales. Not only does it provide great instructors but the staff genuinely cares about their students and their growth. This course consists of a dozen of exercises/problems each week, a video explaining how to solve the problem, and then a section for you to solve the problem. The course is set up to learn new topics each week, and you get plenty of practice in class and in homework assignments. Moreover, there was a strong se...

    Personalized, Organized, Great Value

I chose Actualize after a friend recommended it and after reading about the emphasis that Actualize puts on EDUCATION and putting understanding first. I wanted a personal touch and what I got was just that. My class was small and I got to talk 1 on 1 with career coaches, my instructor, my classmates, and even the dean of students, who personally called me when I was having second thoughts. Something I was really impressed by was the FORMAT of the class. We had several daily routines, lec...

    Supportive, Well-rounded Program.

Short version:  Balanced, well-paced curriculum with a HUGE focus on supporting students on their learning path AND beyond.

If you're looking to learn programming languages remotely and aren't sure if you'd be missing out on some part of the in class experience, Actualize has figured it out. They had zoom classes pre-pandemic and it really shows,  it doesn't feel like a rushed transfer from in-person learning like some classes might. The classes are small (mine had 14 students fo...

    An honestly phenomenal course

The people at Actualize are friendly, fun, knowledgeable, extremely helpful, and just good at teaching. They don't only teach you how to code - they teach you how to learn, and then extensively help you through the process of actually finding a job. They won't sugarcoat the difficulties of software engineering and the industry as a whole, and will instead work with you to get through those difficulties.

    Truly Exceptional!!!

I researched bootcamps extensively, and had almost decided to go with one of more well-known bootcamps.  Luckily, I came across an article by Jay Wengrow on LinkedIn which led me to Actualize.  After speaking with them, and discussing the options, I decided to register with Actualize, and there has not even been one moment since that I have regretted that decision. They are truly an exceptional bootcamp with people who personally care about your success.  In addition to the outstanding c...

A solid use of your time and great investment!

I couldn't be happier with my decision to attend Actualize. The instructor and TA's are really helpful and you always feel like you've got one on one help when you need it. The curriculum felt engaging and challenging which forced myself and my classmates to really push ourselves to see what we were capable of. If you were looking for a remote bootcamp I would strongly suggest you check out Actualize. You won't be disappointed!

    Great Program

I had been contemplating attending a bootcamp for a while but was hesitant to jump in and do it.  Finally after about a year I decided to join one.  I browsed over some reviews , and decided on actualize after generally positive reviews as well as being able to attend my full-time job while attending.  Overall, I'm very pleased with my decision to join actualize.  it's pretty fast paced and intensive but the curriculum is well-structured and the instructors are excellent.  Got along very w...

    Amazing Experience!!!

Joining Actualize's coding bootcamp was one of the best decisions I've ever made.  The class moves at a breakneck pace, so at times you will feel like you're drowning in information but keep at it and ask a ton of questions!  The TA's and instructors are very responsive and helpful whenever you need it.  YOU WILL NEED IT!  Brian is and incredible instructor but be prepared for a slew of Dad jokes and painful mispronunciations of certain grains...  In all seriousness if you are looking to...

    So Glad I Enrolled

As someone who had no previous coding experience, and who really considered myself a tech luddite in general, the decision to switch careers and jump in to a coding bootcamp was a daunting one. Deliberating over which bootcamp to choose, and actually making that first payment was a terrifying moment. Now that I am on the other side of this coding bootcamp, I am so happy and relieved to say that the my Actualize experience and training was phenomenal.

Not only will you develop and ...

    Actualize Student Review

I choose Actualize Bootcamp because of the teaching first approach to curriculum. The instructors all had teaching backgrounds outside of just know how to code. This helped me get a better sense of the fundamentals of software development. My Actualize experience was amazing. I participated in the night class cohort. I was provided with all materials that I needed for the course. They force you to learn the fundamentals of arrays, loops, conditionals, and functions before you start the c...

How do you get a job after coding bootcamp if you have no relevant, real-world work experience? Only 1.4% of bootcampers have worked as developers in the past, but most career-changers have little if any client experience when they start looking for a developer job. Some bootcamps help students overcome this hurdle by offering opportunities to work for the bootcamp itself, or with real clients through projects, internships, and apprenticeships. These opportunities can ...
